The Gift

"I'm so sorry Antonio, your Mom was a fighter, she gave her all, and more. Everyday she had to give twice as much effort, being deaf and still taking on the world lacking compassion and she did it with a resilience like none other. Your Mom was a hero, she was your hero. Remember all the goodness and love she was, implement those traits and qualities into a way of life and show others who she was by living her example. Honor her legacy by being everything she showed you. Spread the seed, and allow it to flourish by living your life with the same approach. She has a story, and it needs to be told. Start a journal of memories, write down her words of endearment and her traits and the memories shared, her guidance and unconditional love is still with you. Use the journal to write down her memories she shared with you about her experiences in her life. Especially those experiences and the wisdom you were not alive yet to bare witness, think of her triumphs and determination, she never rested on her laurels and always gave her all. That journal can be a rough draft for an even bigger tribute to her legacy. Think of ways to share her life with others to make a positive impact on others, you can write a book or other thousands of ways to have it published. Her as a person and a life lived is more important than the last few weeks of her life. I know in those last few weeks she still held her head up high and lived a reality most couldn't endure. Those last few weeks are a testament to her many years of a life well lived, a life with love and integrity. Follow her foot steps and along the way you'll see 2 sets of foots prints yours and a set of footprints walking by your side through life. Yours and hers."
